All year round, you can see :

  • the Ariane launchers: 1/10th scale models
  • the environment exhibition, explaining the impact of Space activities on the environment.
  • for younger visitors, a Lego play area, where they can use their imagination to build their own spacecraft.
  • the slide show: a selection of films about science and technology, frequently updated.

The ground floor also houses temporary exhibitions where new events are mounted on a regular basis.

PERMANENT EXHIBITIONS

The CNES/CSG exhibition is devoted to Space activities. Several different display panels deal with such questions as: Why explore Space? How do we monitor the environment? How does the combustion and propulsion of the Ariane launchers work? What regulations govern the running of CSG? What are the safety arrangements? How is industrial waste dealt with? Who are CNES's partners?

An exhibition of measuring instruments and free consultation of study reports about the impact of Space activities in French Guiana give visitors a chance to get to grips with the down-to-Earth activities of the Space Centre.
