The forthcoming P80

The European Space community is implementing its Space strategy by extending its range of launchers to include Soyuz and Vega. The first of these is one of the most famous and widely-used Space vehicles while the latter, a direct result of European research, is pending development. After the Zefiro 23, the Vega second stage engine, which was successfully validated on the test Bench in Sardinia during the third quarter of 2006, it is now the turn of P80, the first stage engine, to be tested at the BEAP in Kourou on 30 November 2006.
