Quarries

Eva, Tania and Katia, which belong to CNES/CSG, are three quarries, which are exclusively exploited for the worksites. Eva and Katia are currently being closed.

* Pollution:               

 - consumption of natural deposits (Eva & Tania, sand / Katia, laterite)

 - modification of the landscape

 - risk of leakage, splashing, spilling of fuel

* Procedures introduced:

- decanting tanks for matter in suspension

- 3 piezometers for monitoring the water table, complemented by a system for recovering

  run-off water

- transfer area for refuelling Earth-moving equipment
