Preparation campaign: weeks from 01 to 14 October 2007

Major operations carried out :

Test stowage of the ATV to Svezda, the Russian module of the International Space Station (ISS)

Simulation docking between the two sides : the "female" or Passive station Docking Assembly (PDA) and the "male" of the ATV, or Active Docking Assembly (ADA). The ADA has a long stem with a mechanical part that locks on the PDA, conical female; an endless screw then brings ADA to PDA (accostage station and locking).

Tests of interconnect electrical and fluid connection (Russian ergol) between the ATV and PDA.

Are  also scheduled, late tests of pressurization and depressurization, and the separation between ATV and ISS.
