Logistical support for satellite customers

The Guiana Space Centre makes facilities available to Ariane customers and provides them with the services required for preparing their satellites for launching.

CSG has now been acknowledged by the market as the most efficient launch base in terms of satellite customer satisfaction which increases Ariane’s competitivity. This is partly due to CNES/CSG which operates the buildings and facilities made available to customers for preparing, controlling and integrating their satellites (the Satellite Preparation Complexes or EPCU).

In this respect, CNES/CSG defines the strategy for transition towards EPCU S5 facilities to enable continuous checking of satellites during all preparation phases and up to launch. The industrial contract are controlled by CNES to achieve the most synergism possible when operating the various buildings.
